Cancer rarely announces itself loudly in its early stages. Instead, it often whispers through small changes that are easy to dismiss. Knowing what to look for can make the difference between an early, curable diagnosis and a late one.
A lump anywhere in the body — breast, neck, underarm or abdomen — deserves attention, even if it is painless. A sore or ulcer that does not heal within three weeks, especially in the mouth, is another common warning sign in India.
Watch for unusual bleeding: blood in the stool or urine, bleeding between periods, or coughing up blood. A lasting change in bowel or bladder habits, persistent indigestion or difficulty swallowing can also signal a problem.
Unexplained weight loss, ongoing tiredness, or a persistent cough or hoarseness that lasts more than a few weeks should not be ignored. None of these symptoms means you have cancer — most have harmless causes — but each is a reason to get checked.
If you notice any of these signs, book an evaluation early. At Kamal Medicare, screening and consultation are straightforward, and eligible patients are covered under Ayushman Bharat. Early detection truly saves lives.
